At Rodesta, we supply high quality hoses and hose assemblies tailored to the strict requirements of the food industry. Typical applications include the processing of dairy products, soft drinks, beer, sauces or vegetable oils. For every application, we offer a hygienic and food-safe custom solution.
Materials suitable for food applications
Our food grade hoses are available in various materials, each with specific properties:
- NBR (Nitrile rubber): Suitable for fatty and oil based food products.
- HNBR (geperfectioneerde nitril): Hogere temperatuurbestendigheid, bestand tegen oxidatie en ozon.
- EPDM: Excellent for CIP/SIP cleaning, steam and hot water.
- BUTYL (IIR): Low gas permeability, ideal for carbonated beverages.
- Silicone: Flexible, taste- and odor-free, suitable for high temperatures.
- Viton® (FKM): Resistant to fats, oils, acids and high temperatures (up to approx. +200°C); ideal for fatty or highly chemical CIP processes.
- UPE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene): Abrasion resistant, chemically resistant, and suitable for abrasive foods or products containing solid particles such as sugars, granulate or milk powder.
-
PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene): Very high chemical resistance, taste- and odor free, extremely smooth surface, suitable for aggressive media and temperatures up to approx. +260°C.
These materials are tested and certified according to FDA, EC 1935/2004, BfR, and 3-A Sanitary Standards.
Our partner: Tuder Technica
For our hose assemblies in the food industry, Rodesta collaborates with Tuder Technica, a leading Italian manufacturer of high-quality hoses for hygienic applications. Tuder is known for its quality, innovation, and compliance with the strictest international food safety standards.
What makes Tuder hoses unique?
Tuder Technica’s food grade hoses stand out due to the following features:
- Smooth, non-porous inner walls - Prevents bacterial adhesion and facilitates cleaning
- Suitable for fatty and oil-based food products - Ideal for sauces, oils, fats and dairy
- Taste- and odor-free - No migration into the product, ensuring product purity
- Textile or steel spiral reinforcement - Pressure- and vacuum-resistant for dynamic production environments
- Excellent chemical resistance - Resistant to CIP/SIP, acids, alkalis and cleaning agents
- Temperature resistance - Withstands hot water, steam, and high process temperatures
- Free from animal-derived ingredients - Suitable for plant-based and halal/kosher production
- Transparent or colored hoses - Enables visual control for increased process safety
- Full traceability - Batch registration and certification according to FDA, EU 1935/2004, BfR, 3-A Sanitary Standards
Thanks to these properties, Tuder Technica hoses are the perfect foundation for Rodesta's hygienically crimped hose assemblies, custom made and fully certified.
Customisation: hygienic hose crimping
What makes Rodesta unique is our complete in-house assembly process. This includes:
- Cutting the hose to length using a Uniflex cutting machine
- Laser engraving the stainless steel coupling with customer data, batch code or serial number
- Hygienically crimping the coupling onto the hose using a Uniflex crimping machine
- Visual and mechanical quality control for leakage, dimensions and finish
We process couplings such as:
- DIN 11851 (dairy couplings)
- DIN 11864-1 / DIN 11864-2 / DIN 11864-3 (aseptic couplings)
- DIN 32676 (tri-clamp couplings)
- SMS, RJT (and other threaded couplings)
Full traceability & quality assurance
Each hose assembly undergoes strict final inspection and is marked with a unique identifier. This enables full traceability within your production process – an essential aspect for audits and food safety.
